Relay interpreting

Relay interpreting is often used for conferences or meetings and the interpreting is done via a second language. This means, that one interpreter translates the speech into the first language, e.g. from German to English, before a second interpreter translates it into the target language. This kind of interpreting is usually used, if due to the language combination no interpreter is available for a direct interpreting.
